Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician provides technical and engineering direction to team members and leads efforts that apply engineering and technical techniques, principles and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, and operate electrical, electronic, mechanical, communications, or related data processing systems, associated with electronic equipment, C5ISR systems, or facilities. Maintains repairs, inspects, troubleshoots, and programs systems equipment or components. Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares and applies engineering, technical and maintenance specifications, policies, standards and procedures. Organizes, analyzes and prepares reports and presentations of technical data and information. Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems and/or system components. Compiles, processes, reduces, and analyzes test data and results. Note: Two of the Engineering Technicians VI must also have experience with shipboard electronic warfare systems.
Education: Associates degree in an engineering or electronics discipline.
Experience: 10 years of progressive experience in planning and performance of electronic systems field services of which at least 2 years of experience must be directly involved with communications systems and shipboard electronic warfare systems.
Education: High school diploma or GED plus U.S. Navy Electronics "A" or C" school or equivalent as identified for Technical Rating. Technical Rating - completion of a U.S. Navy electronics technology related "A" or "C" school for Cryptologic Technician Technical (CTT), Electronics Technician (ET), Electronic Warfare Technician (EW), Fire Controlman (FC),or Information Systems Technician or the equivalent from another branch of service.
Experience: 10 years of progressive experience in the planning and performance of electronic systems field services of which at least 2 years of experience must be directly involved with communications systems and shipboard electronic warfare systems.
Qualifications Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience and extensive knowledge of theory and principles. Technical trade school or military training preferred Degrees Equivalent Experience/Education

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
