Environmental Specialist
Key Role:
Work as an integral member of a multi-field environmental project team. Apply organizational, interpersonal, and writing expertise. Maintain responsibility for supporting the Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters' mission to support NAVAIR acquisition program managers and the Fleet by minimizing risk to program cost, schedule, and performance and enhancing program environmental or energy compliance. Facilitate cooperative working relationships among customer organizations and project stakeholders with differing missions. This position is located onsite in Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
Basic
Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with consulting, including analysis, policy writing, client support, and oral or written presentations
Ability to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and customer service in a work environment
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BS degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
Additional
Qualifications:
Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including NEPA, the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA, and executive orders
Knowledge of DoD environmental or energy requirements for acquisition and Navy or NAVAIR policies or implementing instructions
Secret clearance
