Network Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance activities while managing the operations support staff. Maintain responsibility for the design, implementation, sustainability, and deployment of system enhancements and upgrades to the system infrastructure. Support maintenance activities, including evaluation, integration, fielding, administration, testing, and operations of networks, systems, and subsystems. Work closely with both clients to plan for future system enhancements and to design current requirements into the infrastructure. Ensure that system performance metrics are being met and provide regular status and operational updates to all stakeholders. Work routinely with current and potential vendors to evaluate future capabilities, plan upgrades, or troubleshoot system issues. Interface with engineering and development teams to determine software requirements and manage upgrade and release schedules.
Basic
Qualifications:
Experience with a wide variety of technologies and products, including VMware vCenter Server and ESXi, Windows operating systems, network switches and routers, next generation firewalls, VoIP technologies, security appliances, storage arrays, tape libraries, load balancing hardware, and a number of various supporting software applications and programs
Ability to engineer, design, and develop solutions to technical and process challenges and to lead staff and communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients
Active Secret clearance
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or MIS
CISSP or CISM Certification required

Knowledge of Cloud-based environments preferred
