Supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Comptroller Department Financial Systems Division on the Management Information Systems (MIS) Data Warehouse Team with the database design, development and testing of financial, personnel, planning, acquisition, travel and other business reports.
Supports the analysis, development, test and implementation of the database and user reporting requirements verifying the timeliness and accuracy of the data utilizing Business Objects Enterprise, Informatica Power Center V9.5, Oracle, SQL Plus and Star Team.
Schedule and monitor Informatica extraction jobs from Navy ERP including other Commands archived data tables.
Perform daily audit of all extraction jobs as well as the Change Requests released to production.
Investigate and evaluate daily data problems and provide analytical results and distribute error logs to the technical team for resolution.
Build session dependencies within Informatica Server Manager to coordinate version control of Software Change Request into Star Team.
Utilize Star Team to verify the associated documentation is current, accurate and complete as well as track change request through the software life cycle from new, open, fixed, verified /fixed to closed/fixed status.
Create working folders in the Star Team to document current target tables and their corresponding metadata and worksheets.
Evaluate requirement definitions, guidelines, data integrity and file loads in the production database.
Execute SQL scripts and create and copy oracle spreadsheets and files from test to production directories in compliance with the report requirements, Source Analysis Worksheets (SAWs) and data definitions.
Refresh test data with current production data in support of functional test scenarios.
Conduct testing of data fixes for production data in support of functional reporting requirements.
Test and review of Emergency mapping and data fix changes, implementing changes into production within 24 hours to ensure accuracy of customer reporting in Business Objects.
Evaluate Change Requests verifying keys, constraints, data structures, table strategies, connections and naming conventions for accuracy before moving to production.
Schedule and conduct Pre-Production meetings to ensure accuracy of change requests that are ready for production.
Provide production support for software deployment, software failure and notification, back-up and recovery procedures in conjunction with the database administrators.
Generate Reactivate Record log, Index and Constraint report log through Business Objects to flag/monitor daily errors.
Process Run Extraction Transformation and Loads (ETLs), Data Fix Change Requests and maintain historical files in support of syscom requirements using the Starteam and Informatica software tools.
Monitor workflow in the Configuration Management (CM) division in order to meet customer deadlines.
Excellent computer Skills and intimate familiarity with MS Office Products
