Summary:
Serves as Proposal Coordinator/Writer in support of various government contracting and business development efforts primarily with US Navy and other DoD customers.
Candidate will be the lead in drafting, editing, reviewing, and writing various proposals in all stages of contract bid and negotiations.
Ideal candidate has experience in the DoD contracting process.
Main Duties:
Serves as the main point of contact to Business Development Manager for technical reviews, writing, editing, and generates various technical writing responses Drafts, edits, and reviews responses to Request for Information (RFI), Market Research, Request for Proposals (RFP) or Sources Sought notices Assists Business Development team in R&D for contracting efforts Develop various technical responses to NAVAIR Program Office, US Navy and other DoD customers Conducts research on various government contracting vehicles and develops writing strategies serving for proposal development Coordinates with Prime or Sub-Contractors guiding them in the RFP, RFI, Market Research, or Sources Sought efforts Edits, writes, and provides input to Business Development Team and works closely with Program and Technical Managers Ensures technical and organizational compliance with all documents and Federal Acquisition Regulations Evaluates sources, request, drafts compelling and compliant technical data and proposal contents Ensures all proposals are grammatically correct, technically sound, and maintains a compliant and consistent theme throughout the process Minimum
Qualifications:
AA degree and (5) years of experience in proposal/technical writing in government contracting Must have strong technical, professional writing, and editing skills Must possess strong communications skills and ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders Ideal Candidate is familiar with systems used in DoD contracting such as GovWin, Sam.
Gov, GSA, STARS, OASIS, and other contracting sources/vehicles Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus (3) years of experience in government proposal/technical writing Candidate must demonstrate creative and technical writing skills, excellent communication, and a can-do attitude (3) years of experience as a proposal writer in a DoD contract environment Solid skills with Microsoft 365:
