IT Integration Senior Engineer (Remote)
KBR is currently seeking an experienced IT systems Senior Engineer for the Joint Technical Integration (JTDI) Program to provide customer technical support for the JTDI Delivery Management Service (JDMS) deployed applications and the JTDI Top Tier enterprise systems.
The Senior Engineer must be customer focused in support of our warfighter mission and have a broad technical knowledge of IT systems integration with Linux and Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016 Operating Systems (OSs).
The IT technologies that support stream and file-based data transfer to include but not limited to Apache Tomcat, Kafka, sFTP, HTTPS, IIS, Java and.
NET based applications, local area networks (LANS), and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with knowledge of TCP/IP infrastructure.
The Senior Engineer will be part of a team with primary responsibility to design, integrate, configuration, test and deploy systems and infrastructure components.
The Senior Engineer will ensure IT systems meet Information Assurance (IA) Risk Management Framework (RMF) IATTThe Senior Engineer will provide Tier 3 level sustainment support for JTDI deployed systems and the JTDI enterprise systems to include system problem diagnosis, root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Tier 3 sustainment activities may include design and development of interim technical solutions to meet mission needs.
The Senior Engineer will support the JTDI In-service Engineering and Integration teams and IA teams to implement compliant well design systems that support DoD maintenance and logistics data transport.
Senior Engineer Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with JTDI project, Integration lead and government IPT leads to integrate cloud based and non-cloud based distributed systems.
Provide continual service improvement feedback on sustainment support activities and make recommendations to improve JTDI supported systemsProvide technical guidance and direction to assist team members Tier 3 problem resolution.
Support IA team Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) requests and response for integration activitiesDevelop and implement integration scripts, tasks and schedule jobs to support end-to-end data transfer leveraging scripting languages that include PowerShell, Linux/Unix Shell/NAWK and other scripting technologies.
Develop and implement Web systems/services with SQL database integration to support messaging services.
Integrate system logging with Splunk services to provide audit logging and event notifications for critical systems.
Senior Engineer Requirements and QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer sciences, Technology, degree and 8 years relevant experience or 10 years' experience in lieu of a degreeHypervisor technologies to include VMware vSphere ESXi and Microsoft Server 2016 Hyper-VAWS and Azure cloud servicesSpecific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 2016 to 2019Specific experience with IIS and Apache Web ServicesExperience with a variety of LAN switching and TCP/IP networking technologiesCurrent Security
or CISSP certificationCurrent Operating System (OS) or Cloud certificationAble to obtain Secret clearance with SSBI or Top-Secret Clearance (preferred).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
